Design Bites;

The marriage of food and design exists in many forms. In this section we unpack some parallels we’ve been ruminating on.

                                          Casa Organica by Javier Senosiain
 Peanut butter glutinous rice balls in green tea

On a hilly site near Mexico City, architect Javier Senosiain has created a remarkable home inspired by the shape of a peanut, with two wide oval spaces and lots of light, united by a space in low and narrow gloom. It is defined by two large spaces: one day and one night, evoking the feeling of a wareness of space without losing integration with the exterior greenery.

Tying into the peanut shell enveloped by a body of greenery architecture motif, this dessert represents a surprise center when bit into — comparable to how within our homes, we can always discover bursts of joy and meaning, shall we seek them out. This could be a book gathering dust waiting to be rekindled, batches of dried flowers gathering in the corner from past bouquets, or a piece of kitchenware that can be styled up nicely to present food for our family members.
